Germaine Franco recently completed work on Walt Disney Animation’s latest film Encanto. Germaine worked on the film for over a year and enjoyed crafting a score that weaved in and out of the songs of the wonderfully talented Lin Manuel Miranda. Germaine developed an original score using themes, motifs, and musical textures to showcase the characters within the world of magical realism.
Germaine enjoyed collaborating with directors Byron Howard, Jared Bush and co-director Charise Castro Smith. She sends the warmest thanks to all of the wonderful musicians who played their hearts out on the score and to the Disney creative team for their support. The film opens only in theaters on November 24th, 2021. Germaine is excited for the world to see it!
